About Kelly Clark
With a legal career spanning over 25 years, Kelly Clark is widely known for his dogged approach to upholding individual rights, particularly concerning victims of childhood sexual abuse. Within the past decade, Kelly Clark won several landmark cases against institutions of trust, such as the Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts of America. Kelly Clark's highly publicized wins were instrumental in encouraging other victims to come forward about their own suffering at the hands of powerful institutions. In addition to his crusade against child abuse, Kelly Clark has successfully litigated before or against 85 federal, state, and local government agencies in areas pertaining to civil rights, voting rights, religious liberty, free speech, and property rights. Passionate about helping others in both a professional and a personal capacity, Kelly Clark devotes much of his free time to contributing to the community. From 2000 to 2004, Kelly Clark was a member of the Oregon State Bar's Lawyer Assistance Committee, which assists lawyers with substance abuse issues. Kelly Clark also provided Pro Bono legal counsel for the North Portland Nurse Practitioner Community Health Clinic from 2005 to 2007. Most recently, Kelly Clark sits on the Board of Directors for William Temple House, a social services agency run by the Episcopal Church. Kelly Clark currently possesses two academic degrees: a Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Lewis and Clark College. A man of deep faith, Kelly Clark has harbored a life-long interest in theology and is a candidate for his Master of Divinity degree in theology from Trinity College Theological School. Kelly Clark currently makes his home in Portland, Oregon.
